Why Choose Us
What makes us different
We stand out from the crowd so to speak, just by our sheer scale. There are a few options to choose from when considering a cruise round Scotland. From large scale cruise liners to converted fishing boats. We saw a need for a more intimate option with an emphasis on one to one service but in the comfort of our luxury 130 feet, tri deck super yacht. With passenger numbers limited to twelve, this allows our guests to never feel crowded, giving the experience of a larger size vessel.
Unlike most, if not all other cruise vessels, when you book and pay for a ticket on board The Spirit of Fortitude, you can transfer or gift your ticket to your own guest free of charge, if you find that circumstances have changed and you just simply can’t make the trip. We know things can change, even last minute but we don’t want you to feel out of pocket.
There are a lot of people who are on their own as single travellers and do not wish to be charged a supplementary rate for their private cabin. We allocate our 2 lesser priced cabins for the option of single or double occupancy allowing the single occupant to pay only what is equal to 1 person, without incurring a surcharge. These cabins are still very large cabins and are larger than most available on comparable vessels in Scotland.
Due to our size, we are required to carry much more safety equipment than vessels smaller than we are, yet we still only carry 12 passengers, this gives our passengers that addtitional peace of mind.
Our master suite is located on the main level, so there are no stairs to go up and down on a regular basis, making it easier for access.
Due to the size of our small ship, we can get into place’s larger vessels would struggle, it also allows us access into most harbours, as well allowing the fascinating journey through the Caledonian Canal, the great glen cutting through the heart of Scotland. We operate from two locations, from Greenock near Glasgow, and from Oban in Argyll.
