Congratulations to those of you who correctly identified Spirit of Fortitude in the recent Netflix release of The Crown Series 5, we were delighted when the production crew selected her for all the Scottish based scenes hosting the Royal Family on the Hebridean adventures. The team were aboard for three days of filming, which took place in the wonderful waters of the Clyde and the Inner Hebrides

We were delighted, if not a little surprised, to hear today that Royal Scottish have received another accolade, this time being awarded Most Outstanding Luxury Cruise Experiences in the 2022 Global Excellence Awards, surprised because we didn’t know we were being considered which makes it all the more welcome! Thanks to all our team who continue to go above and beyond!

We are delighted that 2022 is already going to be a remarkable success, with over fifty percent of our custom projected from returning guests. Our business thrives of word of mouth referals and repeat custom., thank you for showing your faith in us once again and we look forward to hosting you aboard Spirit of Fortitude in 2022. For those of you yet to experience life aboard Spirit of Fortitude we would be delighted to hear from you as we still have a few remaining dates for Private Charters and for those of you in smaller groups, a handful of opportunities to join one of our scheduled cruises

Our thanks to Holy Loch Marina for accommodating our frequent requests from our guests to arrive by helicopter. No fuss and a nice straightforward aerial approach from the sea with a landing site close to the yacht all make for a great experience for our guests

Thank you to the Largs Marina team who accommodated our request to berth Spirit of Fortitude overnight during a recent charter by a movie company. It was our first visit into the marina and we were delighted with the support from the team at Largs, entering and leaving at low tide during the hours of darkness always adds to the adrenalin but it was very straightforward and we look forward to being back

What a wildlife season 2021 is turning out to be! Whilst we are invariably always blessed with dolphins and porpoises on our travels, the prevalence of whales this season has really been something, from single minkes to large pods, and to Orcas who seem to be around in increasing frequency. We are often asked about the likelihood of seeing whales, this season has been remarkable with sightings on more than 50% of our cruises, from the waters off Arran to the Sea of the Hebrides near Stornoway. Quite remarkable!

June saw our first visit to the marina at Portavadie, thanks to the team there for accommodating our request for berthing and we look forward to returning soon

The 2021 season awaits us and we are busy making preparations for what promises to be a special time.  We have postponed our April and early May departures but intend commencing our Private Charters as soon as the lifting of restrictions permits. Already we have seen a strong increase in demand arising from those UK based guests more accustoimed to international destinations. We are determined to ensure that these guests see the very best of what Scotland has to offer!

February saw us delighted to learn that, hard on the heels of winning Best Luxury Cruise experience for the third year running, we had been nominated in The Corporate Livewire Scotland Prestige Awards 2021/22 which recognise small and medium-sized businesses that have proven to be the best in their market over the past 12 months.
